“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” follows the story of Abby Schmidt, who reconnects with her animatronic friends at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, leading to a series of events that reveal the origins of the infamous pizzeria. The film is set a year after the events of the first movie and features a mix of returning and new characters, including Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, and Mckenna Grace. The movie is directed by Emma Tammi and written by Scott Cawthon, the creator of the original game series. It premiered at the TCL Chinese Theater on December 2, 2025, and was released in the United States by Universal Pictures on December 5, 2025
